August Fun Fest

Bike on out to Cedar Creek Park for a family-friendly day of activities, between West Newton and Smithton, at mile marker 110 on the Great Allegheny Passage! Live music at the amphitheater at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, food and drink, educational workshops featuring exotic animals, inflatables for the kids, a rock-climbing wall, a flea market, arts and crafts, and a custom and vintage car cruise punctuate the day. While you’re there, walk the Cedar Creek Gorge path, fish the Youghiogheny River, or throw a frisbee. Overnight bicyclists can take advantage of the hiker-biker campsite, too!
