Flaughtery Creek

Flaughtery Creek

Great Fishing Spot

Burbling Flaugherty Creek runs about six miles alongside the Great Allegheny Passage between the Eastern Continental Divide and Meyersdale, where it flows into the Casselman River just past a decorative stone bridge.  It is stocked with trout and is a popular spot for anglers.  The GAP crosses Flaughtery Creek 10 times on short, wood-decked, former railroad bridges.

Visitor Information

The nearest trailheads are at Deal, Pa., and Meyersdale.  Summer is a great time to visit, since the meadows alongside the GAP near Flaughtery Creek are resplendent beginning in June.
